出生中國河北的老李因為戰爭來到台灣，一待六十年，再也沒回去故鄉。但是在夢裡，他早已踏上故鄉千百回，每回都是血流成河的景象。對老李來說，從軍不是為了政治，是為了吃飯；在誰家吃飯，就說誰家好。韓戰爆發，老李在南北韓交界被俘虜，來到台灣。老李結婚，有了家庭。但一顆心總是懸著，怕別人知道他當過共產黨。每每照鏡子，都無法忍受已是白髮蒼蒼的自己，於是他戴上假髮，穿上女裝，想彌補錯過的所有年華??

LI was born in Hebei Province of China, and the war brought him to Taiwan where he has spent his past six decades. LI never returns to his hometown again, but has revisited it countless times in his dreams. However, whenever he dreams of it, he sees blood flowing all over the place. Seeing himself in the mirror, he cannot bear his hair turning grey. Therefore, he puts on a wig and a women’s dress, trying to make up all those years wasted when he was young…

《失語APHASIA》

語言的禁止與再學習，是一個在台灣不斷重複發生的歷史樣態；面對政權的更迭，人民必須不斷學習「新語言」才得以謀生。在此實驗片中，導演創造並扮演了四位來自台灣歷史各階段、以竹苗地帶為範圍、講著不同語言的女性，分別訴說著屬於她們各自的故事。四個女子並在影片結尾彼此互動，展現台灣多元民族融合的歷史背景。

The film consists of video portraits of Taiwanese women from four different historic periods of the last 130 years. They all speak but suffer from ‘aphasia’, the inability to talk with the language they used for their whole lives, due to the fact that Taiwan has had to constantly adapt to multiple colonizers, always shifting it’s cultural identity. The film brings focus on the cultural identity crisis and the continuous aphasia of people in Taiwan.
