《看不見的國家》為台灣典範女性政治人物紀錄片，
由美國導演葛靜文（Vanessa Hope）執導、 曾入選胡士托電影節及阿姆斯特丹國際紀錄片電影節。 

導演專長東亞研究，以學者視角紀錄2017-2023年間的台灣，內容深入淺出地記錄並呈現當代台灣女性參政的歷史脈絡與性別處境、以及台灣奮力爭取自由與國際間認可的歷程。

此紀錄片破天荒貼身採訪台灣首位女性元首蔡英文前總統、
台灣首位女性副元首蕭美琴副總統、台灣首位女性監察院院長陳菊院長、
現任立法委員吳沛憶、前文化部部長(行政院副院長)鄭麗君等，
彰顯台灣於女性參政及性別平等上的長足發展及貢獻。

為深化觀影體驗及開放思考，
本次放映特別安排映後座談會，
邀請台灣多年來於專研及倡議女性參政的專家學者，
與觀影者一同討論「台灣女性參政的過去、現況與未來展望」。

"Invisible Nation" is a documentary film featuring pioneering female political figures in Taiwan. Directed by American filmmaker Vanessa Hope, the documentary was selected for the Hot Docs Film Festival and the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).

Specializing in East Asian studies, the director adopts a scholarly lens to chronicle Taiwan from 2017 to 2023. The film provides an accessible yet in-depth portrayal of the historical context and gender dynamics surrounding women’s political participation in Taiwan, as well as the nation's ongoing struggle for freedom and international recognition.

For the first time, the documentary offers intimate interviews with prominent female leaders, including Taiwan’s first female president Tsai Ing-wen, current Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim , President of the Control Yuan Chen Chu, current legislator Wu Pei-yi, and Premier of the Executive Yuan Vice Cheng Li-chun. Their stories highlight Taiwan’s significant progress and contributions in advancing women’s political representation and gender equality.

To deepen the viewing experience and reflection, a post-screening discussion will be held. Experts and scholars who have long been engaged in research and advocacy for women's political participation in Taiwan will be invited to discuss the "Past, Present, and Future Prospects of Women's Political Participation in Taiwan" with the audience.
