艾娃因曾從事性工作，社福單位因此強制將她的兒女帶走，寧願交給有暴力前科的前夫扶養。為搶回監護權，艾娃開始為自己和相同處境的人發聲。三年後，她終於獲得和孩子見面的機會，然而卻傳出震驚社會的悲劇。瑞典乃率先世界推出性產業相關法令的國家， 卻忽視了社福單位是否以善之名握有過大權力，社會輿論和政策所加諸的汙名更明示了女人不可同時是母親又是性工作者。
In 2013, a woman in Sweden was stabbed to death by the father of her children during a meeting with social services. In the past, the court had decided that, despite a history of violence, the man would get the sole custody of the children, because their mother had previously worked as an escort. A staggering investigation of a murder that shook European public opinion and turned a sex worker into a symbol of the fight for women’s rights, in a film that struggles (and wins the battle) against anger and mourning.
